eTWINNING PROJECT: "FOOD BANK"
During the course 2019 – 2020 our school participated in an international eTwinning project together with other three European schools in Croatia and Italy. The classes in charge of sharing the materials with the other schools were 2C from the Cookery and Gastronomy Technician course.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Food waste is a big problem all over the world because of irrational distribution. Instead of wasting, we can use that food in order to help people who are at risk due to hunger. The students will try to understand that it is very important to deal with food consciously and to throw away the least food. Wasting food is also very harmful for our environment. Food Banks are one way to prevent food being wasted .
In this project we will try to explore the benefits of having a Food Bank (or some similar organization) in every country participating as well as to enhance ecological awareness of all students involved in the project.
